WHAT IS PILATES
The Pilates method is a program of exercises that concurrently involve one's body and mind to the purpose ofimproving posture, restoring muscular tone and correcting muscular imbalance.
This method was devised by German instructor J. H. Pilates more than eighty years ago and is based a combination of exercises inspired by orientai and western disciplines. Concentration, balance, harmony, and proper breathing, ali combined with dynamic movements aimed at improving one's physical condition.
This method has been used by professional dancers for many years and today is considered the most advanced method in the search for well-being.
